Located in the picturesque Yingbin Road of Urumqi, Zhongzhi Public School is a kindergarten, elementary, middle and senior high school that was set up in 2000. It belongs to the Zhongzhi Education Investment Aggregation, and has been developed with a total investment of 100 million RMB.
Zhongzhi Public School is one of eight demonstration high schools in Urumqi, Xinjiang Province, PRC of China that have been designated by the Urumqi Education Committee as key high schools. With educational freshness, high quality teaching, and innovative and effective educational philosophy, Zhongzhi gives each student the opportunity to develop to his/her full capacity and attach importance to English study.
Zhongzhi Public School covers an area of 67,000 square meters. Here we have a well cared-for campus and modern teaching facilities forming a gracefully green environment. The teaching building is able to accommodate 48 classes, and the academic hall, with video projection facility and stereo sound is able to seat 500 people. The science building has laboratories and a multi-media classroom that includes a TV station and school broadcasting system. In addition there are more than 500 internet connected computers for student usage. The school library is well equipped for student and staff use.
Zhongzhi Public School has a large gymnasium with many indoor facilities that provide all students with the opportunities to develop their sporting talents. Basketball is a special feature in the school physical education program. Outdoor facilities include a football (soccer) field, cinder track, basketball courts and fixed equipment. Kite flying is very popular with students in spring and autumn. Minority dancing is enjoyed.
