A Brief Introduction to Xingtai University

　　Xingtai, only 400 kilometers from the Capital Beijing, is a central city in the south part of Hebei Province, PRC. It enjoys a convenient transportation and communication, with Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Beijing-Shenzhen Expressway crossing the city. It covers an area of 13,000 square kilometers with a population of 6,560,000 people. Xingtai City has a long history. It is the capital of the ancient Shang Dynasty, which played an important role in the development of traditional Chinese culture. There are many places of interest in Xingtai, such as Corrosion Cave, Han Dynasty Peony, Qin Wang Lake, and Lingxiao Mountain. 　　Xingtai University (XTU), situated in the downtown of Xingtai City, is a poly-subject local university founded in 1910. Its former name was the Fourth Teachers School of Hebei Province. For the time being, it is the only general comprehensive university in the south part of Hebei Province, with multi-functions of teachers education and non-teachers education, general education and adult education, pre-service training and in-service training. For the time being, teachers education is still the main feature of the university. However gradually XTU will developed into a comprehensive university with the subjects of arts, science, engineering, economy, law and management etc.
　　XTU occupies a campus of 1,188.3 Chinese mu, building 239,000 square meters. It now has 682 staff members, of which there are 435 teaching staffs including 187 professors. A Brief Introduction to Xingtai Foreign Language Middle School

　　Xingtai Foreign Language Middle School was set up in March, 1999 with the ratification of the Education of the Education Committee of Hebei Province. It grew out of Xingtai No.3 Middle School which was founded in 1953 and therefore has a history of over 40 years.
　　Our school lies in Weisheng Street of Xingtai City, covering an area of 42,351,9 square metres. Its building area reaches 13,000 square metres . To the east are the NO.107 State High-way, the Beijing-Shenzhen Expressway and the Bejing -Jiulong Railway. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway also runs through the center of the city,Besides its favourable location and all-directed roads, the school has also clean tidy and beautiful surroundings, Possessing adequate advanced teaching equipments, including high-quality laboratories, language labs, library and reading-room, the foreign language school is quite able to meet the demands of cultivating the students in all aspects or in scale ,the school is one of the largest in Xingtai City, with 38 classes and 2,248 students in it.

Brief Introduction for the Hebei International School

　　Shijiazhuang No.42 Middle School, which was set up by the municipal government in 1993, has been taking measures to develop and become to be a first experimental school. The school was honoured with the title of a Provincial Key School by the Hebei Provincial Government and Education Committee in 1999.
　　After China’s entry into the WTO, education will have both opportunities and challenges. In May 2002, the HeBei Education Committee gave the school a new name as Hebei International School. 　　Qin Huangdao New Century Senior High School,which was set up in May,2000, is a public boarding school. It is invested by the government and governed by Bureau of Education of Qin Huangdao. The school has passed the check of demonstrative senior high school evaluating group smoothly. The school was designed to hold 16 tracks, 48 classes. ( In fact ,it can hold 20 tracks, 60 classes.)
